carnal nature

Zynada was inspired by the song Hunger of the Pine by Alt J. This painting examines carnal and instinctive movements. In an ever changing landscape, Zynada’s paints a difficult to traverse forest. Through these natural obstacles she explores the carnal nature of humanity. Fear and expansiveness. Pain and pleasure.

The subject of sexuality and how a sense of approval becomes entangled with it emerge in this abstract painting. It raises the question of how we can embrace our feminity in an environment that urges us to lose ourselves.
